Welcome to St. Aloysius Gonzaga School!

It’s such a privilege to introduce you to our school community. I’m Sandy Ortman-Tomlin, and I feel blessed to serve as the principal here at St. Al’s—a place where faith, learning, and friendship come together to help students grow into the amazing people God created them to be.

I grew up right here on the west side of Cincinnati and had the joy of experiencing a strong Catholic education myself at Our Lady of Lourdes and Mother of Mercy High School. Those experiences shaped my love of learning and my belief in the power of faith to guide us through life. After earning my Master of Education from Ohio University, I spent many years working in student services and higher education before following my heart back to K-12 education and my home community.

Teaching at schools like St. William and St. Dominic gave me a deep appreciation for the unique role Catholic schools play in forming young minds and hearts. That same spirit is alive and thriving here at St. Al’s, where we’re committed to helping every student discover their potential.

At St. Al’s, we balance academic excellence with a deep focus on faith and character formation. Our goal is to create a place where students feel known and supported while being challenged to grow—not just as learners, but as compassionate and confident individuals.

If you’re considering St. Al’s for your family, I’d love to personally invite you to visit and experience the energy and joy of our school. We’d be happy to show you around and answer any questions you have.

Thank you for exploring St. Aloysius Gonzaga School. I hope to see you soon!

Warmly,
Sandy Ortman-Tomlin
