Butch Klenk Coach of the Year Award

The Butch Klenk Coach of the Year Award is presented each year to a longtime St. Al’s Athletics coach who has devoted countless days and hours to coaching the youth at St. Al’s. This award is an acknowledgement of years of devoted leadership while upholding the values we cherish and instilling good sportsmanship and life lessons. 

Jeff and Amy Hummel Volunteer of the Year Award

For decades, the Hummel family has been a mainstay at our church, our school and in athletics. Jeff and Amy have carried on a tradition of service to the parish, students and young athletes. From Amy's 23 years as a devoted and cherished teacher of hundreds of students who have passed through the halls of St. Al's to the time and dedication Jeff spent as a coach, coordinator and athletics board member, including time as president leading this organization, they have set an example for volunteering many of us can aspire to.

Because of that shining example of service to others and specifically to athletics, the St. Al's Athletics Board created the Jeff and Amy Hummel Volunteer of the Year Award in 2021 to be awarded each year to a volunteer who has gone above and beyond for the student-athletes at St. Al's.
